First and last time (due to them closing). Food was very rich in flavor and portions were very generous. Need more places like this. Sad they closed but will definitely miss this home cooking. Felt like big mama was in the kitchen on every meal.
First time ordering food from here. It was very good, the price for my dinner was $23.00 plus tax well worth it. The plate was full and my plate was well prepared. I order the smothered pork chops, cabbage, mac and cheese, yams, white rice with brown gravy, and cornbread.
I used to LOVE Manna House! I have eaten there for years, back when they were on Fairground and up until recently. Unfortunately, I went on Monday, 12/29/2025 and there was an obvious change in staff, both up front and in the kitchen. The food, that is usually a 10/10 was horrible. I got beef tips over rice with brown gravy, mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread for my first meal. The cornbread was dry and burned and the beef tips smelled like they were old and spoiled. My second meal was the Crew, chicken wings, blackeyed peas, dressing and yams. The peas also smelled old and spoiled as well. I don't know if they changed the cook, I suspect that is what has happened, but they need to go back to who was cooking before. It breaks my heart to leave this bad review because I love Manna House. I doubt that I will return after this.
